Touch Down

Arrived Vancouver international Airport half an hour early than scheduled. Jared drove me back to Port Moody where my sister is now living in a new town house.

It's great to be back home, but I feel very weird. Everyone is very nice and mellow. Home is never the same once you leave it for a while.

The document that some how came back

Finished jet washing some stompers from the problem solving site, completed every task on site very early this afternoon. That leaves me sitting infront of the computer in the IT Lab.

My passport showed up this morning, after chasing the post office and embassy for nearly 2 weeks, not knowing where it was delivered. It's a great relief for myself and my folks.

What's left? Counting down, officially.

The document that never came back Part 2

I phoned the embassy this morning, and they finally told me it was printed on Wednesday, 9th November. So they've sent it this morning and it will be coming back in the next few days. 2 days to be exact. At last, some confirmation.

Flights wise, I have to fly soon, before the Christmas prices start kickng in.

Material

3D Little Canada had a Reunion party for all the staff on Saturday night. It's the end of the year, why is it a reunion? Yeah, sure some of the staff came back to just for the alchohol. Still, it's a conclusion.

I mean....

I had it all planned out, I was hoping that night the DJ could play a slow dance song, probably something like Beautiful by James Blunt. Never happend. The DJ got tired by midnight, said " Yup, that's it, goodnight." What kinda DJ is that? So, I didn't end up dancing with her........

The document that never came back Part 1

It's been 8 week since I sent my application to the Canadian Embassy to aply for a new passport. 8 weeks on and they still haven't got a confirmation of when it will be back. It's been scanned and it will be printed, which will take another week. That's what they've told me.

Will it ever come? I'm not being optimistic or sarcastic enough, but I sure am furious.

"I would like to come home now"

There is a field on the top of the centre you can land this.

Tuscany Cheese

Dutch friend Seb and I had a joint birthday down by the waterfront Italian Restaurant, Michelangelo. Geniune Exquiste food. Can't beat the extra virgin chilli olive oil on bread; Irresistable home made ice cream soaked with Baileys and Cappuccino. Never ever miss out the wine from Merlot. Seb is now 25, and I was 20 going 8.

The Good, the bad and the Powder

While I'm waiting for my passport to come back, the first snowfall took place last night in Whistler, creating a 56 cm snowbase with the terrain fully covered with fresh powder. There is no saying when my passport is coming back, but sooner or later , I'l be carving that Glacier again.
