This is it

Went down to Robson Street this morning to check out the Winter Olympics closing ceremony on the Big Screen next to the Vancouver Public Library. What a crowd, and the atmosphere was excellent. There were stands full of Italian food, and free chocolate spunge cakes of the Canadian flag. Everyone went crazy when Vancouver was mentioned in the hard over speech. It was as exciting since the momment we knew we were getting the games. For the first time, I felt like something that great. The city councilors introduced an Omega count down clock on the stage soon after the closing ceremony.

1440 Days and counting.

A pic a day, keeps the boredom away

Coast mountain sports called my cell on saturday morning when I was climbing in Light House Park. I was in the middle of rekindling with mother nature, when these bastards ruined my weekend. Apparently, they scheduled me to work on Saturday and Sunday, but didn't inform me at all during the week. What in devils name were they expecting me to do?

Anyhow, I was getting paid, so what the heck, doesn't matter if I went in to work late.

I finally bought a mouse that was light weight enough to travel with and is a USB port to plug in to my laptop, instead of using the touchpad. Most of the time, I have trouble control the cursor to do things.

Oh yeah, I'm gonna post a picture everyday to let some of the folks around the world to see my latest development from Sunny Vancouver!

Spells

It's been sunny for the past 4 days in Vancouver, warm front covering the West Coast and mainly in the lower Mainland. Feels just like in Spring, 8'c at noon. Couldn't ask for more.

I'm getting use to working in the coffee shop at a high pace. Still some glitches to work on, especially take multiple orders.

I'm also working on another feature film, currently writing as script based on one of the dreams I had ( see previously log "Sunday Boyfriend").

I believe this time of the year, the instructors from the Isle of Wight have returned to the Little Canada centre to continue their work. I totally miss it there, already, but I hope I can get into another camp on Vancouver Island soon, which is more like an art and theatre based summer camp job.

Back on track

Started off on Monday afternoon, the sun was out, got off from work early, so I went down to Kitsilano Beach to check out where they filmed P3X-866 Oannes of Stargate SG-1. Really muddy around the park, it's been raining a lot in Vanocuver; following morning, I went snowboarding with Jennifer Davis from work at Coast Mountain Sports. We headed up to Grouse Mountain, spent the first 3 hours teaching her how to stand, stop and turn. Did the whole Zig Zag drill, chowed down something in the restaurant, and then I took on the runs again for another 3 hours. Jen came over to my house for dinner and that was about it.

Worked all the way to Friday in the coffee shop, Saturday had been a lazy one, ended up dinner with my godfather, more Britain storytelling with him. Sunday was a sleep in, and then an afternoon Hike in Deep Cove along the coast.

I still think I have to go out more.......
